Grail Seeker - Group 1 TAB Telegraph

Within the space of just two starts as a four-year-old, Grail Seeker has announced her arrival as one of the brightest stars in New Zealand racing.

A first-up winner of the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy at Hastings back at the beginning of September, the Iffraaj mare lined up for her first race in 119 days at Trentham on Saturday and blew her rivals away again in the Gr.1 TAB Telegraph.

Listed Armacup Stakes

Previously known as the Trevor and Corallie Eagle Memorial, the 3YO feature is becoming a reliable springboard to bigger and better things for Wexford Stables. Subsequent Gr.1 Sistema Railway hero Waitak won the race in 2022, while we finished second last year with Grail Seeker, who went on to win the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy and the Gr.2 Wellington Guineas.

We returned again on Saturday, this time with the promising Checkmate.

30/9 - Miss Bo Peep

Miss Bo Peep provided the team, and owner/ breeders Wentwood Grange, with a special win at New Plymouth today. She is the last foal of Miss Raggedy Ann, who tragically passed away after foaling. A winner of seven races including the Group 1 Railway while under the care of Wexford, Miss Raggedy Ann was the first Group One winner for Wentwood Grange.
