PERFECTIONIST (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 2) will kick off our day in race 2 at 1.37pm. She heads into today with little experience under her belt, with just the one trial to prepare. She meets a small field on her home track and has worked in a manor that suggests she could put in a cheeky race first up.
ARYA STARK and PETITE ROSE will go head to head in race 3 at 2.12pm.
ARYA STARK (Michael McNab, barrier 2) made a pleasing debut when second at Matamata, 18/12. She has improved with the run and galloped on Saturday in manor that suggests she's a good top three chance today.
PETITE ROSE (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 8) heads into today fresh up, with no trial to prepare. The form around her is good and she is forward enough to run a nice race on her home track. She will be assisted by Taiki's 2kg claim.
INTELLIGENT PATCH (Opie Bosson, barrier 3) will line up in race 5 at 3.22pm. He put in a much better performance last start when third at Matamata, 18/12. He has worked well and will enjoy the yielding ground. Stepping up to 1400m should suit and we're expecting another solid performance.
TWEEDLEDEE (pictured) (Jo Kamaruddin, barrier 7) will line up in race 7 at 3.57pm. He was unsuited by the right handed way of going last start at Te Aroha, 3/1. He never goes a bad race on his home track and we're expecting an improved performance today.
ANNALONE (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 9) will line up in race 8 at 4.37pm. Her first run for the team was a little disappointing but we're hoping that the increased distance today will make her more competitive. If she races up to her work, she is a nice place chance at odds.
