Racing at Rotorua:
TWEEDLEDEE (Sam Spratt, barrier 6) will line up in the listed Staphanos Classic at 2.42pm. We thought his effort in the Matamata Cup last Saturday had merit and he will not have to improve too much on that to be competitive. He has continued to train on well and we think is a good bet at longer odds.
PRINCESS RIHANA (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 3) will line up in race 6 at 3.15pm. Her work has been encouraging heading into today, although she wouldn't want the track to be any heavier than it currently is.
WISDOM PATCH (Jason Waddell, barrier 5) will also line up in race 6. He lines up a very fit horse in a competitive field. He looks fantastic and ready to give a good account of himself.
AUTUMN WILD (Ryoya Kozaki, barrier 9) will go head to head with Princess Rihana and Wisdom Patch in race 6. She looks particularly well, but will need to improve on past performances to be competitive in this field.
AUTUMN FLASH (pictured) (Jason Waddell, barrier 10) will line up in race 8 at 4.25pm. His first up run at Counties 22/9 was encouraging and the extra 200m today should suit him nicely. Despite having a tricky alley to contend with, he lines up a fit and well horse.
ONE MADDISON has been scratched.
Racing at Randwick:
SIR CHARLES ROAD (Andrew Adkins, barrier 4) will be flying the Kiwi flag across the ditch when he lines up in the Bentley St Leger Stakes at 7.30pm NZT. His performance in the group 1 Metropolitan a fortnight ago was very good when third and finishing less than one length from the winner. He has continued to thrive in Sydney and we are expecting another competitive performance.
