A busy day ahead for team Wexford, with 8 horses heading to Arawa Park - Rotorua Racecourse. The track is currently graded as a heavy 11.
JOHNNIE REDMOND (Shaun Mckay, barrier 10) will kick our day off in the first race on the card at 11.57pm. He wanted to do a lot wrong last preparation but has enjoyed a short break and has improved in his trackwork. His trial at Taupo was encouraging and he looks fit and forward heading into today. There's no reason he can't race well in a fresh state.
GLORY CHANCE and ELECTROFYING will go head to head in race 2 at 12.30pm.
GLORY CHANCE (pictured) (Cameron Lammas, barrier 6) although being a little disappointing, she has benefited in terms of experience and fitness from recent racing. We're hoping to see improvement from her today.
ELECTROFYING has been scratched.
ROYAL PATCH, IRON PATCH and PATCH MAN will all line up in race 4 at 1.40pm.
ROYAL PATCH (Craig Grylls, barrier 10) is our best winning chance of the day. He has benefited a lot from recent racing and heads into today very fit.
IRON PATCH (Sam Spratt, barrier 12) was disappointing on debut. The blinkers go on and we're hoping that does the trick. A positive ride from Sam should help and we're hoping the penny can drop for him today.
PATCH MAN (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 11) has lacked any real competitive sprit raceday and if he can bring this today, he'll be very competitive. The side winkers go on and we're hoping they will aid him in his racing.
WISDOM PATCH and AERO DE PARIS will line up in race 5 at 2.15pm.
WISDOM PATCH (Sam Spratt, barrier 2) has improved significantly with a run under his belt. He should handle the heavy conditions today, is fit and ready to run a good race.
AERO DE PARIS (Craig Grylls, barrier 12) put in a blinder first start back and has worked well heading into today. He is a talented horse and if he brings his A game today, will be hard to beat. Craig galloped the horse on Saturday and was confident he'd run well.
