BECAUSE (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 9) will line up in race 1 at 12.30pm. He just missed last start when running second at Te Rapa 6/7 and meets a weaker field today. The ground will be heavier than last start but if he handles conditions, he’ll be very competitive again.
WISDOM PATCH (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 5) will line up in race 5 at 2.54pm. It was a strong effort last start at Rotorua, 26/6 and has continued to hold his condition well. In an even field, he looks to be a good each way chance.
OUR ELLIEMAY (pictured) (Taiki Yanagida, barrier 6) will line up in race 6 at 3.29pm. She is yet to perform raceday and we're not holding our breath. Unfortunately, is owned by Lance, Paul and DJ O'Sullivan...
IRON PATCH and PATCH MAN will go head-to-head in race 7 at 4.04pm.
IRON PATCH (Ashvin Goindasamy, barrier 6) doesn't have the flashiest form but he has shown some improvement in his work. Going off that, we think he is a rough place chance at good odds.
PATCH MAN (Darren Danis barrier 9) is another who's done little raceday, however worked particularly well Saturday morning and looks bright. If he handles the track conditions, he should run well.
