Sonofabutcher provided Wexford with the perfect start to the new season, winning at Cambridge Jockey Club on Wednesday.
Ridden by Joe Doyle, the pair sat midfield before picking a path through runners to score comfortably in the $17,000 Rating 65 Benchmark* 1550m event.
Sonofabutcher was Wexford's first runner for the new season, and sole runner for the opening race meeting.
