Legendary trainer Dave O'Sullivan is looking forward to the next few weeks. He is to join the team of Lance O'Sullivan and Andrew Scott along with Hong Kong trainer Paul O'Sullivan in the selection process of yearlings from the upcoming Karaka sales series.

Over the seasons the O'Sullivan  name and Wexford Stables  has been synomanous with selecting some of the best race horses New Zealand has had to offer. It is a job they take very seriously and this year is no exception. In fact, the yearling sales at Karaka  2014 they plan to be more active than ever.

"Andrew and I have already inspected in excess of 1000 yearlings" says trainer Lance O'Sullivan. "From this a short list is drawn up and this is where the expertise of Dave and Paul will really come into play. Our combined experience takes a bit of heading off".

"It is very encouraging to have some of our existing clients and a few new ones already looking to line up yearlings" says Lance. "We have also become public syndicators so for those people wanting a smaller share in a horse this is easily done". In the past this selection team has had a huge amount of success in buying nice pedigreed fillies that go on to become black type winners on the track and in turn, well credentialed brood mares. "This is more of along term involvement," explains lance, "but one that can pay huge dividends".

The O'Sullivan  team  hopes to be purchasing from the Karaka premier catalogue, offering owners top  class pedigrees to match the type of the yearling. If you are keen to get involved or have any question please give Lance a call on 021488884.
